As they say, “Nothing in this world is for certain but change itself.” And change has come to The Master’s Men. Mark Frusha has resigned from The Master’s Men in order to pursue other endeavors. Mark was a driving force in the ministry and administration of our group, as well as a dynamic soloist and solid baritone singer. We thank him for his many years of service. He will be missed, but we wish him all the best.
With that change comes a new member, and that person is Kent Houp. Kent is no stranger to quartet singing and Southern Gospel Music. He has been singing in quartets most of his life—and we won’t talk about age. Let’s just say that Josh is in no danger of losing his “youngest member” status! Most recently, Kent sang baritone with The Countrymen Quartet until they came off the road in 1994. It’s great to have him singing in a group again.
Kent and his wife Iva, live in Port Arthur surrounded by several children and grand children. For the past three years he has served as the Minister of Music at Triangle Baptist Church in Nederland . We welcome them to The Master’s Men family!
Please keep us in your prayers as we undergo these changes. Our constant goal is to know and understand His will. We are excited about what God is doing in our ministry—and what He has in store for the future. Our new CD for this year is our first Christmas CD, and we have a new album in the works. Four of our latest projects are now available on Itunes as well as other digital media outlets. The Winter Celebration and the Gospel Reunion for 2012 are booked, and requests for other dates in 2012 are coming in daily.
God is blessing!
